High School Excuse!

The high school in Chapel Hill, NC where most students are related to UNC faculty & alumni has a policy that the parents must call the school if a student is to be absent for the day. Alice decided to skip school and go to the mall with her friends. So she waited until her parents had left for work and called the school herself.

"Hi, I'm calling to report that Alice is unable to make it to school today because she is ill."

Secretary at high school answered, "I'm sorry to hear that. I'll note her absence. Who is this calling please?"

"This is my mother."

In a typical restaurant, customers get 27 cents worth of
food for each dollar they spend.
The rest pays for rent, equipment,
advertising, etc. The owner is
fortunate to have a profit around
3%.

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice -- the kind he will accept. When you think of what he has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is. - Romans 12:1&2
